Idaho Candidate for Governor, Janice McGeachin, Spotted With ‘The Bitcoin Standard’ Days After Endorsing the Digital Currency

Candidate for Idaho governor, Janice McGeachin, made headlines after tweeting out that when she is governor she will make the state of Idaho a “Safe Haven” for Bitcoin. Just days later, while attending a political event in North Idaho, she was spotted with a copy of “The Bitcoin Standard” signaling genuine interest in the cryptocurrency world.

This comes just days after McGeachin made international headlines by endorsing the cryptocurrency, claiming Idaho will be a “safe haven” for Bitcoin.

The best-selling title “The Bitcoin Standard” is a book about the digital currency, its inception, its applications and its future. The book is renowned in Bitcoin circles and widely cited as being the gold standard of Bitcoin knowledge.

The promise comes to the relief of thousands of voters who, over the past year, have seen looming federal regulations of the digital currency as a threat to alternative forms of finance, as the industry continues to innovate and grow regardless of roadblocks.

Idaho might soon become the Bitcoin hub of the United States of America, if the aspiring governor can pull off a win. This move would bring innovation in non-traditional finance to the rural north, creating jobs in the process, as other states continue to crack down on the blossoming world of cryptocurrency.
