Sex Abuse Coverup At West Bonner Elementary School? Mother Says Daughter Was Molested At School In 2020 And Was Ignored By Admins, Police
It wouldn’t be the first time sexual abuse was covered up at this district…
(Priest River, Idaho) — It’s no secret that West Bonner County Schools is in some trouble. Financially, academically, pretty much any way you cut it, West Bonner County Schools are the worst in the state.
That’s why conservative trustees Keith Rutledge and Susan Brown voted to hire Branden Durst as the district’s new superintendent. “We needed fresh blood” Rutledge said at a recent town hall.
It was well known throughout the community that the finances at the district were a mess, but what we are coming to find out now is that a lot more than just the finances were out of whack.
At a town hall earlier this month, Jackie Myers, a concerned citizen in the district warned that students in the middle school were being coerced by older students to take nude photos of themselves, which were then distributed among other students. Myers said that this is in addition to the “Elementary School molestation of a little girl that took place on a pretty consistent basis September, October, November of 2020, until her parents removed her.
Myers was quick to note that this was a separate case from the teacher who was caught raping a 15 year old student at a Halloween party in 2021.
Independent Journalist Casey Whalen was able to track down the family of the elementary school girl that was mentioned at the town hall and interviewed them. Watch below:
The mother of the child said “She finally kind of came out and told me that four boys from her School in her class were molesting her. She obviously didn't use the word molested but, it was you know, a lot of questions of okay well ‘where are they touching you? Up top?’ She pointed up top and she pointed to down below, and so I tried really hard just to ask questions like ‘okay where?’… She did show me that they go inside with their their fingers um and she said it hurts really bad…”
According to police reports provided to the Tribune, no action was taken in the case since it was first reported in 2020.
This family’s story has remained consistent since the initial filing with the police too.
This would not be the first time that sexual abuse at the district was covered up by a counselor while evidence was deleted from students phones…
To be clear, these issues, including the financial malfeasance, all began during Paul Anselmo’s tenure as superintendent of West Bonner County School District. In earnest, it began just before the District’s business manager, Jennifer Phillips, changed her name to Anselmo.

Paul got a divorce and married Jennifer after a very “public” relationship. I wonder how many policies had to be changed or ignored to accomodate this relationship…
Jennifer’s LinkedIn profile still says that she is the business manager at West Bonner County Schools, even though she hasn’t worked there in over 2 years.
West Bonner County Schools are plagued with issues of bullying and sexual abuse. And it’s no wonder; the kids perpetrating these acts are learning this behaviour from somewhere.

There is a Recall on August 29th that has been organized by people who are quite happy with the way the district was being mis-managed. These loud, unhappy people are seeking to get rid of trustees Rutledge and Brown, and replace them with trustees that will continue the District’s policy of sweeping these things under the rug.
If you live in West Bonner County School District, vote AGAINST the recall if you want to see the results of the forensic audit, and if you want to see real change happen in the district with conservatives at the helm.
If, on the other hand, you choose to sit at home and abstain from the polls on August 29th, or if you vote FOR the recall, it’s pretty much guaranteed that the trustees will be replaced. If that happens, Branden Durst will likely be fired. The District, which is already in dire financial straits, could easily go bankrupt with the expenses of finding a new superintendent.
The Recall’ers scream about how Branden Durst “wants to destroy public education,” while Durst’s actions have been to hire some of the most highly qualified teachers and staff the District has ever seen.
In reality, it is the Recall movement that was spearheaded by former Chairwoman of the Board, Sandra Brower, and disgruntled liberal ex-teacher Whitney Urmann, that is going to destroy West Bonner County Schools. Will you let these schools be destroyed by this liberal mob? The choice is yours, next Tuesday!
