BREAKING: Boise Pride “Postpones” Controversial LGBT “Drag Kids” Event After Loss of Major Sponsors — Organizers Double Down on Child Drag Queens
After major sponsors pulled out from the Boise Pride event set to take place September 9 through the 11th, Boise Pride has postponed the controversial “Child Drag Show” that was set to be held on the 11th.
Major sponsors, such as the Idaho Department of Health and Welfare, Zions Bank, and Idaho Power were not informed that there would be male children scantily dressed in woman’s clothing dancing on stage for adults.
Sponsors began to pull their support from the event after leaning there were going to be children dancing on stage in front of adults.
The Idaho GOP Chairman, Dorothy Moon, issued multiple statements, pressuring sponsors to drop off of the event, and for voters to pressure their legislatures.
Event organizers continue to defend child drag queens, and repeated their support for them multiple times in their announcement.
Residents are not happy and continue to call for the event to be cancelled completely.
At least one legislature, Representative Tammy Nichols, suggested organizers of the event would be guilty of multiple crimes if children were performing in or in the presence of sexually obscene actions.
The Boise Pride event is set to be held as scheduled, with many children under the age of 18 to be present for numerous drag queen performances, and other adult activities.
