Coeur d’Alene & Kyle Rittenhouse — How A Town That Stood Up Against the Mob Became the Hottest Real-Estate Market in America

“I wonder why Coeur d’Alene is the hottest real-estate market in America?”

2020: Amid a country erupting in riots that saw dozens of people killed and hundreds more injured, it seemed almost every urban center in America fell victim to mob mentality, with Antifa and Black Lives Matter setting flame to buildings and assaulting anyone who stood in their path. Through the violence, one town stood up and stopped the violence before it had a chance to begin — Coeur d’Alene.

Residents of Coeur d’Alene who caught wind that Black Lives Matter and Antifa were planning on coming to Sherman Ave, grabbed their rifles and held a rally of their own, resulting in zero property damage and zero personal injuries.

Other towns were not as lucky as Coeur d’Alene. Kenosha Wisconsin, for instance, saw some of the most destructive and violent rioting of 2020. Deaths, millions of dollars worth of property damage and hundreds of injuries followed the riotous mob through Kenosha, before Kyle Rittenhouse was attacked by multiple individuals, causing him to defend himself with his firearm.

Coeur d’Alene did not have a Kyle Rittenhouse, due simply to the fact that the majority of residents believe in the constitutionally protected right of self defense. Similarly, those who may have been heading to Coeur d’Alene to cause damage and violence, were reminded — by men and women with rifles — that Coeur d’Alene is not Kenosha Wisconsin.

A year after the rioting, Coeur d’Alene became the hottest real-estate market in America due to it’s safe streets and likeminded residents who, unlike most, believe in freedom, law and order. If Kyle Rittenhouse were to have lived in Coeur d’Alene, he would not have needed to defend himself at all.

Coeur d’Alene’s recently elected mayor, Jim Hammond, spoke with Democrats on the so-called issue of publicly displaying firearms downtown, in which Hammond shared concern with Democrats who felt “intimidated” by the presence of residents practicing their second amendment right.

Riots, fires, assaults and destruction did not come for Coeur d’Alene as it did for many other cities across America in 2020. There were zero injuries or reports of property damage from the rally held on Sherman Ave, where residents took to the streets with rifles to dissuade riotous behavior.

Will Coeur d’Alene’s new mayor, Jim Hammond, crack down on law abiding citizens and their right to open carry, giving breath to riotous groups such as Antifa and Black Lives Matter? Time will tell.
