Idaho Democrats Register as Republican to Vote in Primary Elections — Favoring the Weaker Republican Candidate for Office

A Republican good enough for Democrats, is a Republican NOT good enough for Idaho

Democrats in Kootenai County and across Idaho are known to switch party affiliation in order to partake in local, closed Republican primary elections.

As was seen in the last mayoral election in Coeur d’Alene, where local Democrats openly endorsed the now mayor, Jim Hammond, against the preferred conservative candidate. Democrats are again beginning to consider which of the Republicans they will be voting for in this upcoming election cycle, proclaiming “extremism” within the Republican Party as being the motivation for voting for the less-than-conservative candidate.

The Spokesman recently published an article outlining just this, wherein local Democrats proudly boasted of switching parties in order to confuse the electoral process, voting for the lesser-Republican. Interestingly, just after the 2020 election ended, even the chair of the Kootenai County Democratic Central Committee registered as a Republican to participate in the shenanigans.

The Kootenai County Democrat Central Committee website describes their platform as including immigration reform, legalizing marijuana, and finally, in their convoluted, yet not so subtle verbiage, a woman’s “right to choose.”

For those incapable of reading between the lines, “right to choose” means terminating a pregnancy by abortion.

Real “extremism” is advocating for the wholesale slaughter of unborn children through the medical procedure of abortion. For Democrats, the platform of abortion is non-negotiable — abortion (ending a child’s life) is absolutely critical to even so-called moderate democrats.

Why do Democrats switch political parties to vote in Republican primaries? To ensure ineffective Republicans win elections.

Democrats in Idaho want to elect Republicans who will support abortion, who will support legalizing drugs and who will support regulating the second amendment. These Republicans, who may be good enough for local Democrats, are not the Republicans who will push back against Critical Race Theory, unmanageable urban development, and preserving the life of the unborn.

Local Democrats are now beginning to sound the alarm, in anticipation of muddying the electoral waters by voting for the ‘little r’ candidate. This election cycle, we will report on the Democrat’s preferred Republican candidate, so that you may make the right decision at the ballot box.
