Idaho Senator Pushing to “Ukraine” Somalia With Secessionist Government — Bill Could Spark Civil-War in the Country, Causing Potential Mass-Migration to Idaho

Republican Foreign War Causes Democrat Mass-Migration

When Idaho’s senator Jim Risch isn’t defending neo-nazis in Ukraine, or calling for WWIII with Russia, he is working to break apart Somalia by inching the U.S. closer to officially recognizing a secessionist break-away region as an independent nation, a move that would likely cause civil-war throughout the country of Somalia.

U.S. Senators Jim Risch (R-Idaho), ranking member of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, Chris Van Hollen (D-Md.) and Mike Rounds (R-S.D.), chairman and ranking member of the Subcommittee on Africa and Global Health Policy, today introduced the Somaliland Partnership Act to require the Department of State to report to Congress on engagement with Somaliland, and to conduct a feasibility study, in consultation with the Secretary of Defense, regarding the establishment of a partnership between the United States and Somaliland.

“Somaliland” is a self-proclaimed breakaway region in the Horn of Africa on the southern coast of the Gulf of Aden. Claiming itself to be a democratic country since 1991, Somaliland is seeking international recognition as an independent nation, something Idaho Senator, Jim Risch says he is not in favor of, while proposing legislation that would effectively do just that.

People in the region have taken to social media, pleading with Jim Risch to halt policies that could spark a civil-war. “Stop dividing Somalia” one user on social media says, claiming Senator Risch is “pushing for what Russia did in Ukraine…”

In the bill proposed by Idaho Senator Jim Risch, the U.S. would be establishing a “security partnership with Somaliland” while adding that this move would not equate to officially recognizing Somaliland as an independent state.

While the bill outlines various collaborations and economic opportunities in “Somaliland", while also highlighting a proposed “security partnership” that would have U.S. funded military training in the region, Jim Risch insists the United States has “national security interests” in the specific region within Somalia that just so happens to be engulfed in civil-conflict.

Funnily enough, while the 10 page bill details various efforts, both economically and militarily, to recognize Somaliland as a state-like entity, the bill ends by boldly stating there is “nothing in this act” that could be construed to convey the United States’ “recognition of Somaliland as an independent nation.”

As a result of general unrest in the region related to secessionist Somaliland, Idaho has seen an influx in Somalian refugees. If Senator Risch proceeds with his disastrous policy in Somalia, Idaho could wind up taking in thousands more Somalian refugees affected by war.

This is what Idaho’s Senator Jim Risch want’s for Idaho.
